Question

is there a way to edit entire pdf after saving

I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

If I save a document that I have created, then go back in, say I find an error during proofing, I often can't edit every field. Typically, all that I can edit is some of the text.  The photos will get lines through them and I can't edit other parts of the pdf that I could edit the first time.

I am having to leave the file open until all proofs are run which is silly.  And, my laptop crashed the other day so I lost the entire document and only have a saved version which I am unable to edit.

Suggestions would be appreciated!

It sounds as if you are creating the PDF right there in Acrobat. Don't! Really, don't. That's going to cause you a lot of pain. Create it in your preferred design app, and make a PDF when you're done. If anything needs correcting FIX IT IN THE ORIGINAL APP and remake the PDF.

Thank you!
