is there a way to make the user interface of adobe acrobat classic 2024 look like previous versions?

Recently got “upgraded” to Adobe Acrobat Classic 2024; is there any way to make the user interface look like previous versions of Adobe? This new interface has drastically reduced usability.

Could you please share more details? Please share a screenshot of the Window you are getting for Acrobat Classic 2024. Or are you on a Windows or Mac machine, and what is the version?

Check if you are getting these options here:

Windows: Menu > Disable new Acrobat
macOS: View > Disable new Acrobat

Hello,

I’m doing well, thank you. I hope you are as well.

I’m using Windows. Unfortunately, my menu drop down doesn’t have the “disable new acrobat” option. Please see attached for 2 screenshots

Also, if it would be possible to have PDFs open in individual windows in lieu of defaulting to a single file with multiple tabs, that would be fantastic. I know there was an option to disable the tabs in the previous version I was using, but I’ve been unable to find it so far in this version.

If you are coming from a version that allowed to disable tabs in order to open a separate window for each document, you are coming from a very old version, and as I indicated in my earlier comment, there is no going back to that.

The “Classic” version is an odd one - I don’t have access to it, so I cannot confirm that the option to switch is actually available.

In the non-classic version, the function to switch is View>Disable new Acrobat and if you want to switch back View>Enable new Acrobat.

If this does not work, we need to know which version of Acrobat you were running before getting upgraded. If it’s something really old (e.g. Acrobat 9), then there is unfortunately no going back to the old UI.

I am not in front of my computer right now but look at the View menu. There should be an option to disable the new interface. (If it’s not under the view menu, look at the others )
