Is there any new information about but ADC-4386949?

We had reported an issue and received bug ADC-4386949 nearly a year ago. We are still seeing the behavior and haven't been able to find any information about the bug in published release notes. Do you have any updates?

@Nicole33916418swbk

A few minutes after moving your post, I had another thought:

The Photoshop team (where you posted) moved Bugs and Ideas to the Adobe forums several years ago, but the Acrobat team has not done that (yet). Instead they use a separate forum for Bugs and Ideas called UserVoice. Because UserVoice is a separate forum and not part of the Adobe forums, it's impossible for us to move your post. You have to go there to post this Bug so the engineers will see and track it.

I'll give that a whirl - this may be while I'm still waiting for answers a year later...

Thanks again for your help!

It looks like the bug report is for Acrobat DC, and not Photoshop. I was going to move the post, but there are several Acrobat forums, but I didn't see one for DC.

@Chuck Uebele

The "DC" is the version, more or less. The forum for Adobe Acrobat DC is just called "Acrobat", just like the Photoshop forum is not called Photoshop 2024.

Don't ask me why some of the Acobat forums have "Adobe" in their names and not others. I've asked that before and never got an answer. 🙂

Hi @Nicole33916418swbk, that particular error message or bug number isn't coming up in any searches. Did you type the number correctly? I'm not sure who the “we” are that you reference, but this is your first post to the community. Where else did you report the issue nearly a year ago? What is the behavior you are seeing? A bit more information and we'll try to assist you.

Hi! Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! It's the number that I believe I got from our Adobe rep - I too couldn't find it anywhere - that's why I posted here.

The issue was reported directly to Adobe - I'm not 100% sure how another tech added it originally. The we in this case is the IT department at the MN Judicial Branch.

Here's the original reply from 12/6/22 with the number:

Greetings for the day.

As we have an update from the engineering teams we have We have logged a bug ADC-4386949 with our engineering team to investigate the issue further. The bug is marked for the fix in future releases of Adobe Acrobat DC. Please let us know if we can archive the support case as of now as the Bug has now been opened with the Acrobat Engineering team. You may anytime check the status of this Bug in future by emailing us at ecs@adobe.com .

I will still remain your point of contact for this bug and keep you posted on the progress.”

The original case was:

  • Case ID: E-000767635
  • Case Title: Invisible/Disappearing Signatures

The issue is that sometimes in adobe on the main document digital signatures disappear. You can see them in the thumbnails but not on the document themselves. That's the super brief version...
