Issue with exportAsText Function Exporting Non-Latin Fonts as Dots in Acrobat Forms.

Hello Acrobat community,

I'm encountering an issue when using the exportAsText function in Acrobat forms, specifically related to exporting non-Latin fonts. When I attempt to export data containing non-Latin characters (Asian@Bangla), the resulting text appears as dots (..........) instead of the correct characters.

However, when I use the exportDataObject function instead, the non-Latin characters are correctly exported:

Has anyone else encountered this problem or found a solution? I'd greatly appreciate any insights or guidance on how to resolve this issue and ensure that exportAsText correctly exports non-Latin fonts.

Desired font is embedded in the document and aldo available in system and adobe acrobat font folder.

Thank you for your assistance!

This is also an issue when you export the form data manually to a text file. You should use XFDF output, instead.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.
