Issue with newest version on iPad
I am a musician and use Acrobat on my iPad Pro to display sheet music. The newest update to Acrobat has made it basically unusuable and I'm wondering if there are any fixes/workarounds or if it is possible to roll back to an earlier version.
I often use the Draw and Text features to add text to a PDF. I've been using this for years for jotting notes in rehearsals with no problem. But with the latest update, when I try to add text...
- My PageFlip bluetooth page turner gets disconnected and I cannot reconnect without turning both the device and my iPad's bluetooth on and off.
- The keyboard is always minimized by default and I have to unhide it every time, requiring two extra clicks.
- If I want to reposition the text, a huge sidebar opens on the right and makes the PDF much smaller, making it harder to move the text precisely.
- For some unscrutable reason I then have to click "Done" twice.
The last 3 issues are major annoyances that bog down the app and make it hard to use on the fly in a rehearsal; the first one is a dealbreaker. I would appreciate any and all advice.
Is there any way to roll back to an earlier version of Acrobat on iPad? Or failing all that, can anyone recommend another PDF reader that's actually functional and usable for simple tasks like mine?
