Issue with text form in pdf

I've created a pdf form which works great on a pc. But when I open it on Ipad and start typing, only the first letter shows after which the pencil tool activates automatically. I can't seem to be able to type full texts or edit them after the first letter is set.

Has anyone encountered the same problem? Found a solution?
