Question

issue with the snapping/measurement tool in Adobe Acrobat.

Hi Adobe Support,

We are experiencing an issue with the snapping/measurement tool in Adobe Acrobat.
The issue is that when selecting or moving an object/image in Adobe Acrobat, the snapping/measurement guides do not appear or function correctly, preventing accurate alignment, measurement and positioning.

We have already completed the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Checked Adobe's support guidance for the issue.
  • Reinstalled Adobe Acrobat as recommended.
  • Tested the snapping/measurement tool again after the reinstallation.
  • The issue persists, and the snapping/measurement functionality is still not working as expected.

Could you please advise on further troubleshooting steps or let us know if there is a known issue with this functionality?

Please let us know if you require any additional information, screenshots, logs, or diagnostic files.

Regards,

    Hello @artistic_beauty8854

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for the clear description and for sharing the steps you have already tried. I’m sorry for the trouble this is causing with alignment and positioning.

To help us look into this, including whether it matches a known issue, could you please share:

    1. The Acrobat version installed (Help > About Acrobat) and your operating system (Windows or Mac)

    2. The tool and the exact steps where you see the problem, for example, moving an image after choosing Edit PDF, and whether any grid or guide options are turned on

    3. Whether it happens with every PDF or only with a particular file

    4. A short screen recording showing the issue, and a sample file if it contains no personal or sensitive information

Once we have these details, we will be happy to look into it further. Let us know how it goes.

    Regards,
    Amal
