Issues Emailing from Adobe Acrobat via latest version of Outlook

When click the email function from acrobat , the email is presented on the screen with the attachment, ready to go, but it is frozen and no controls are responsive. The cure for the users is to kill Exo or Outlook to recover.

This also happens with other software we have and it is related to a recent update of Outlook/Windows. Yes we can roll back but that is not a solution.

Does anyone else experience this or have any thoughts.

    Hi Ramsay16E5,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue.

Could you please let us know if this problem started after the recent updates for Outlook or Acrobat? Are users sending documents as attachments using the new Outlook? Additionally, have you checked if the issue occurs with the classic version of the application?

If possible, please share a short video demonstrating the issue along with the process logs. We can then forward this information for further review. You can collect the process logs by following the steps outlined here: Adobe Acrobat Diagnostics.

In the meantime, please try reinstalling both the applications and see if that helps. To reinstall the Acrobat, you may use the following steps:

    • Uninstall the application and run the cleaner tool from the following link: Acrobat Cleaner tool.

    • Reboot the machine.

    • Install Adobe Acrobat from the following page: Install Acrobat.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi

    Hi Meenakshi,

I have collected the diagnostics as per your instructions and have forwarded them to Adobe. The issue happens with classic outlook (the new version sucks :) ) . As mentioned I believe this is an issue with Outlook as it happens when using the mail function from another software we use, but I believe Adobe has some good sway with Microsoft.

Any thoughts please let me know.

Working normally for me. Make sure both Acrobat and Outlook are updated. Then repair the Acrobat install (Help menu).
