Are you experiencing this issue when exporting any file to PDF or another format? This issue only occurs when you export the file to the following versions: PDF/X-1a and PDF/X-4.
If you are exporting to these versions PDF/X-1a, PDF/X-4 and you are getting an error
Core Requirements Across PDF/X Versions:
- Font Embedding: All fonts must be fully embedded, not just subsetted, so they print correctly.
- Page Boxes: Defined Trim Box, Bleed Box, and Crop Box are essential for accurate cutting and placement.
- Color Information: Requires defined output intent, specifying intended printing conditions.
- No Interactive Elements: No encryption, audio, video, or JavaScript; it's a static, print-focused format.
- File Identification: A special tag identifies the PDF/X version used.
This always occurs when exporting a file to the PDF format. Please ensure that your copy of Adobe Acrobat is up to date. To check for any pending updates, launch Acrobat, then select Help > Check For Updates.
Also, try the following:
1. Launch Acrobat > Sign out. Close Acrobat.
2. Launch Acrobat and try signing in with your Adobe ID. (Ensure there are no pending updates)
