Issues with embedding PDF viewer in posts

i am using the latest version of the Adobe Embedded PDF Viewer plugin in WordPress to embed interactive PDFs into my posts and pages on my website. However, I am running into problems with the PDF viewer not loading or displaying properly in the published pages/posts.

Specifically, the PDF viewer iframe appears blank or fails to load the PDF file even though the shortcode and PDF url are correct. I have tried troubleshooting steps like verifying the PDF url works directly in the browser, disabling other plugins, and using the default WordPress theme but the issue persists.

The PDF viewer works fine when previewing the post/page but then fails to load on the live published version at example.com/sample-post/. I need the interactive viewer with features like annotations and analytics to work properly on my site.

 Please advise on a fix for this critical embedded PDF viewer issue as it is preventing me from publishing pages/posts as intended on my website. Thank you for your help!

    Hi @team34928398i60x ,

     

    Well, at least you've confirmed that it is rendering properly when previewing the post/page.

     

    This tells me that the initial configuration steps (listed below), were followed:

     

     

    But since you've also mentioned that it is not rendering correctly in the live/published version, that tells me that additional JavaScript configuration is missing somewhere. In which case, you have to edit it manually yourself until you get the desired results.

     

    That said, you may want to use the demo code to try it out for testing first before you publish your live version.

    At the bottom of that configuration pane, you may need to select the option "Light Box". 

     

    Click on the "Customize" button below it to manually customize what you need.

     

    When you're satisfied with your customizations, only then generate the code. This will make it easier to watch for scripting lines that may need additional tuning.

    That being the case, you may want to also outsource with the WordPress support forums to get additional help.
