Issues with Persian Language Engine in Adobe Acrobat
Dear Adobe Support Team,
I am writing as a user of Adobe Acrobat to bring attention to several issues regarding the Persian language engine in the software. These issues are affecting the usability of the software for Persian-speaking users and I hope they can be addressed in future updates.
Incorrect Font Display: Many times, PDF files containing Persian text with standard Persian fonts are not displayed correctly in Adobe Acrobat. Instead of proper characters, the text appears as squares or unreadable symbols.
Right-to-Left (RTL) Text Support Issues: Persian text, especially in form fields and text boxes, is not correctly rendered from right to left. This issue significantly affects the readability and usability of the software for Persian speakers.
Incorrect Handling of Persian Numbers: In some cases, Persian numbers are converted to Arabic or English digits, which is problematic for Persian-speaking users.
Search and Edit Issues with Persian Text: Searching for Persian text in certain PDF files does not work properly, and when editing or filling out Persian forms, the right-to-left order is not properly preserved.
The issue seems to stem from the use of the Arabic language engine for Persian, which causes these problems. Since Persian shares many characteristics with Arabic but has its own distinct features, a more dedicated Persian language engine would greatly improve the user experience.
As Adobe Acrobat is one of the most widely used tools for working with PDF files, I sincerely hope that the development team can address these issues and improve support for the Persian language engine in future versions.
Thank you for your attention to these matters. I believe that resolving these issues will greatly enhance the user experience for Persian-speaking users.
Best regards,
Akbar
