It worked the 1st time, but now when I click on "Create a Link" to a file nothing happens?

I never did get a reply to my query, but I found a way round the problem by using a facility in "LibreOffice" to convert a file to PDF, then upload it to Adobe Acrobat Cloud and also at the same time by ckicking "Share" it displays a button that says "Create Link" and this in turn provides the correct link.

I think the problem in Adobe Acrobat itself is that when you click on "Share" it doesn't dosplay the whole page on the screen - so you don't see the button "Create Link".

Glad to know that you have find the workaround,

Could you please confirm some detail so that we can fix the issue and other customer won't be impacted with it.

1) As you have mentioned that issue is with Adobe Acrobat but it looks like attached screenshot is for  DC web (Browser)

 

-Could you please let us know if you are using Acrobat Desktop aplication or Acrobat DC web (Browser) .

Can you please share the exact steps taken & errors observed with following info?

  • Machine information(OS, its version, etc.)
  • Acrobat product version
  • Was it working before? 
  • Could you please share the screenshot of button used for Creating a link.

Hi,

/Yesterday early on I uploaded a document to Document Cloud, clicked Share, then Get Link, and it came back with a Link which I got a friend to check out and it did take him to the document in question.

/I made some corrections to the original code of the document converted it to PDF then uploaded it overwriting the one I had uploaded earlier.

/However after clicking Share then Get Link nothing at all happens, it just seems to ignore entirely the Get Link command.

/I have since tried several times both with the same document and another uploaded document, but I never get a response, the screen just seems to freeze, and all I can do is to go back a page.

/I am using latest version of Windows 10 on a Toshiba I7 chip Laptop, and as far as I can tell the latest version of Adobe Acrobat software.

/I have noticed though at the bottom of the screen a msg saying "Sign" functions are currently unavailable, but I am not using "Sign", just trying to get a Link so I can share my file with others.

/Have taken a screenshot of when it "freezes" which you should see below. I have just clicked the box in the top left for Get a Link when everything comes to a stanstill.
