Question

JPG file imports too small when using Combine Files in Adobe Acrobat Pro

Hello,

I am currently using Adobe Acrobat Pro Version 2026.001.21691; Enterprise License.

I recently used the Combine Files tool in Acrobat Pro to create a PDF from multiple file types (Word, PDF, and one JPG). Everything combined correctly, but the JPG page is significantly smaller than the Letter‑sized pages in the document. The “Set Page Boxes” tool shows Letter as greyed out, so I can’t change the page size.

What’s the correct way to enlarge the image page so it becomes Letter size like the others?

Thank you

    Hi @HappyTeacher_63 ,

Hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out. We are sorry for the trouble you are experiencing.

A couple of quick questions to help narrow this down:

    • When the JPG was inserted via Combine Files, did it come in as its own separate page sized to the image dimensions (rather than Letter), or was it a Letter page with the image just appearing small within it?

    • Are you trying to enlarge just this one JPG page to match the Letter-sized pages around it?

Acrobat Pro lets you adjust page dimensions through the Set Page Boxes dialog, accessed via the Crop Pages tool. You can reach this by selecting Edit from the top toolbar, then Crop page from the left pane, dragging a rectangle over the area you want to keep, and adjusting the cropping rectangle by dragging its corner handles. Double-clicking inside the cropping rectangle opens the Set Page Boxes dialog, where you can change page box settings, page size, page range, and margins. https://adobe.ly/45IvC4z

Within that dialog, Acrobat offers basic cropping options for all users, while advanced settings such as adjusting the TrimBox or BleedBox are available only in Acrobat Pro. The dialog also includes options like Show All Boxes, Constrain Proportions, Remove White Margins, Set To Zero, and Revert To Selection.

Does the Set Page Boxes dialog let you manually type in custom width/height values for that page, even with Letter greyed out? That would tell us whether this is a preset-selection limitation or an entirely page-size limitation.

Also, try updating the application to the latest version  26.001.21789 Out of cycle update, Aug 11, 2026 go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once and see if that helps.

Let us know how ot goes.
