just got a new computer and now asking for authorization code for activating??

I have a disk with Acrobat 7.0 Professional and was able to install the program. But now when I go to open/use it, I have an error message that comes up saying I need an activation code. I've entered in the serial # but it's asking for something else. I tried to call the support Phone # provided, get a message saying this is now done online. I tried chat, after waiting for an hour in the chat line, and then finally was told they could not help and to go to the forums for an answer. Anyone please help? How do I get this activation code? It's 5 boxes that need to be filled in with digits. Thanks

you can no longer activate your copy of acrobat 7.  adobe's made it possible to circumvent that problem: Download Adobe Acrobat 7 and Adobe Creative Suite 2 products

but you'll next encounter an os incompatibility problem unless you're installing on a compatible (ie, old) os.  and in that situation, you can expect security issues with such out-dated software, if that's a concern of yours.

But it's a valid copy of the program, how is it possible I can't activate it? It was working on my old computer.
