Acrobat has a built-in feature for that. Search the Tools panel for "Send for Shared Commenting".

Hello @kerstin#

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

In addition to what our community product expert has shared,

To allow multiple users to comment on a PDF at the same time in SharePoint via MS Teams, you need to ensure the following:

  • Use the Acrobat for MS Teams Plugin: This plugin supports collaborative commenting, highlighting, and markup—but not full text editing unless users have a paid Acrobat license
  • Correct Sharing Permissions: The person who shares the PDF must set the permission to “Can edit”. Without this, others can only view the file, and their comments won’t be saved
  • User Login Required: Users must be logged into Adobe to comment on shared PDFs. If they’re not logged in, they’ll only be able to view the file
  • Shared vs. Direct Message Behavior: PDFs shared in a Teams channel behave differently from those shared via direct message. In channels, login and permissions are strictly enforced
  • Limitations in SharePoint: Some users have reported that SharePoint forces downloads and disables comment tools unless the file is opened in Adobe Reader or Acrobat with proper integration

Access SharePoint files in Acrobat.

I hope this helps.
