landscape form - why is text in formfields sideways

I created a form for users to fill in using Adobe Acrobat Professional.  I created it from a blank page. By default the page was portrait and I saw no option to make a landscape form. So... to make it landscape, I used "Organize" and roatated it to landscape.   I created a simple form a few form fields, but the text is sideways! Help
