Hello Jeremy!

I hope you are doing well.

Is this issue occurring with all PDFs or just one? Does this PDF include images or drawings? Ensure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC installed. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and check. For more information, see this: https://adobe.ly/4jd2iaT

Disable Page Cache: Go to Edit > Preferences > Page Display. Under Rendering, uncheck the Use page cache.

To turn off Protected Mode (Windows only), Go to MenuPreferences > Enhanced Security. Uncheck Enable Protected Mode at Startup and Enhanced Security. After making these changes, restart your computer. Re-enable the security settings after testing.

Optimize Page Display Settings: Go to Edit (Windows) or Adobe Acrobat (Mac) > Preferences > Page Display > Rendering. Uncheck "Use page cache" to prevent caching of pages, which can enhance performance with large files. Click OK and restart Acrobat. See this article for more details: https://adobe.ly/4jb3xaH

Optimize the PDF FileTo reduce file size, use Acrobat's "Save As Optimized PDF" feature: Open the PDF and select File > Save As Other > Optimized PDF. Adjust settings to compress images and remove unnecessary elements. See this article for more details: https://adobe.ly/3RvSQDM

If the issue persists, could you please share the PDF file, a video recording, the operating system details, and the Process Monitor logs from your machine for further investigation?

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
