Latest Acrobat stalling on opening

I have solved this by clicking the '?' button in the Creative Cloud app and selecting 'Contact us'. After exhausting the dumb chatbot quickly you get an option to connect with an 'Agent'. The Agent gave me the solution straight away – clearly, Adobe are very familiar with this problem. Here is the solution:

To use new version of app (2023.006.20320) in OS Catalina 10.15.7 (and possibly other OS too?), do the following:

Steps to disable the New User Interface of the Acrobat application:

>> Open Acrobat, and quickly before it has chance to hang…

>> Click on View menu

>> Scroll down this menu, and…

>> Click on ‘Disable New Acrobat’

>> an option to relaunch/restart app will then appear in the Acrobat window…

>> click on that and you’re done.
