Question

Line thickness on text strykethrough function.

Hello all,

I often use Acrobat to edit or mark up PDF in order to communicate with others. One function I have found useful is the text strykethrough function. However, I have not been able to find a way to change the thickness of the line used with this function. This is a very useful function and even more if the user has the ability to change the thickness of the line.

Does anyone know how the thickness of the line in the strykethrough text function can be changed?

Thank you!

    Hi Nesa,

Thank you for your response and help.

I’ve tried the drawing tool but it takes far longer and is more complicated and time consuming. The text tool is simple, making it easy to select the text and apply the line across it. I am surprised the line thickness cannot be changed.

May I ask that this feature be included in future versions of Acrobat?

    Thank you!

    Karl,

Thank you for your help and response to my post.

I just tried to post my two suggestions (one for Acrobat and one for Bridge) but the webpages are so unnecessarily complicated, complex and dysfunctional that I changed my mind.

    Thank you again.

Strikethrough Text tool has a fixed line thickness that automatically scales with the text size.

If you need a thicker line, you can, use the Drawing tool (Line) and manually draw a thicker line over the text (you can adjust thickness there).
