link to another pdf

hello. A client asked me to create a summary of his book. He has created one pdf file for each chapter.

The files will be stocked on an USB device.

I've created a summary with links to the different files on a virtual USB key.

On my mac (and other mac) it works perfectly. But when I try to use it on a PC, the links can't be read.

I gess it's a path problem… can someone help me with this?

Cheers

OK from 1 to 3 but then I can't select the document two… you can just click on set link and you can'tt choose deocument 2. Sorry I really don't understand how to proceed… and thank you for your help!

I just click on document 2 to select it. I could also open it with the file menu. Are you definitely using the Link tool in Acrobat Pro DC (not form editing)?

Did you make the links with all the files (your file and client file) together on the device or in a folder? You can’t make links then move separate files.

Thank you for your fast reply.

Yes I've created the summary on the device wich contain:

    • the summary pdf file

    • a folder with all the chapters

I didn't move any items after the links were created.
