I have a problem with .pdf files opening from a link.  Example...we have a web site that includes links to .pdf files.  The link will not open the file.  I get a message that Adobe encounters an error when downloading the file.

Are you able to right-click the link and then save the target as a file to your computer? Does that file open?

If it doesn't the issue is most likely with the file on the server. Report the issue to the web-admin of that site.
