Links Not Working Correctly After Exported to PDF

Hi,

I use the latest versions of Word for Mac 2016 and DC Pro. I export documents to PDFs using "export for printing," which seems to do a better job keeping my fonts.

Until fairly recently the links in the PDFs worked fine. Then, one day, mysteriously, they stopped working fine. The only way to hit the link in the PDF is to move the curser to the next words AFTER the link. It's strange. I have deleted and reinstalled acrobat - no change.

Any thoughts? I called Adobe but they couldn't figure it out and went so far as to say my fonts are not approved for Acrobat. Bogus answer.

Thanks,

Herb

Not sure why you expect Adobe to figure out a problem in Microsoft’s App?

Works fine in word - the trouble occurs AFTER it is converted to a PDF. That's an Adobe issue.

Based on your description, I think this is what you are doing: In MS Word, you select File>Save As, then you change the output format to PDF, and then you select the ‘Best for printing’ option. Is that correct? If so, you are only using functionality provided by Microsoft. There is no Adobe product involved at all. Anything that is - or is not - in the PDF is due to design decisions made by Microsoft, and you need to bring this up with their support.

Are you actually using Acrobat to make the PDF? I thought this was a Part of Word.

Yes - I create the doc in Word and export it (for printing) to a PDF. Works in word and a PDF exported for electronic distribution - but not for printing. But it used to. (And the reason I do not use export for electronic distribution is because when I do I lose my fonts.) Adobe's support team is trying to figure it out.

So...based on the lack of responses I'm guessing this is not a known issue? Any Acrobat specialists out there?
