Question

Lost Product key

I recently replaced my MAC that died with a new one.  I transferred all the programs using Time Machine.  I guess the product key did not transfer because when I try to open Acrobat Pro XI it is asking for the product key.  I can't find a record of the product key in my files.  Is is possible to recover the key from the old hard drive?

yes (see 2. below).  but never transfer adobe products.  properly install them using the installation file(s).

you have 3 ways to recover a serial number that you once had:

1. you can check your account (if you purchased from or registered with adobe), https://accounts.adobe.com

2. if your adobe program is installed on another computer you can recover its serial number from that computer, (win:) http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html, (mac:)  https://mac-product-key-finder.com/

3. http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html

Thank you.  I was able to locate the product key when I found the old receipt for the company where I bought it.
