MAC M2 CRASHES ON ACROCLEANERMAC

I install abobe pro on my m2 and every time I open the search tool to find words, the system crashes and I have to quit the program. I decided to uninstall the adobe and reinstall, but saw that I should run acrocleaner before a new install. I downloaded acrocleanermac , Dec 12, 2017: 11.x and later but when I try to open the file I get another crash report from mac.  Any input would be helpful.
