Hi everyone,

I have a photo that i uploaded in acrobat DC that i am trying to store as a signature. It is on a white background. Any ideas how I can remove it and make it just a transparent photo with sig only?

Cheers!

You should be aware that images can be extracted form a Pdf and reuse in other documents. This can cause a legal headache when it happens.

Is there a way to stamp the signature that is more secure?

It is always true that any image and/or text data can be extracted from a PDF, or any other media for that matter. If someone can see it, then it can be copied or extracted.  There are just easier and harder ways to do it.

So what does making a PDF secure mean?

The one thing you can guarentee is that a PDF hasn't been changed, by certifying the PDF with a digital certificate.

You can also encrypt the PDF with a digital certifcate so that it can only be opened by a small set of users.

Anything else is just raising the bar on the difficulty of changing or extracting data from the PDF.

Use an image format that supports transparency, like PNG, and set the background as transparent, using an image editor.
