media in pdf won't play in browser plugin

I have created a pdf with embedded media (mp3). It plays fine if you open it in Acrobat Reader DC but I put it on my website and when people click on it using the brower plugin it won't play the music files. Why not?

Many browsers have their own PDF plugins, which don't support all of the features that they should.

You should report such issues to the developers of these plugins and instruct your users to download the file and then open them using Adobe Reader (or Acrobat) for best results.
