Merge PDFs?

Question

Situationi have two departments at my work location that fill out the same form (1 page) but in different field locations. This then gets submitted to supervisors who now want us to have it be one file with both departments filling it in. I would like to know if there's a way to merge two identical forms into one having them fill in form fields that are empty with the information filled out from each of the separate pdf's?

If the field names are the same in both forms it will happen automatically when you merge the files (which you can do in multiple ways in Acrobat, for example via File - Create - Combine Files into a Single PDF...). The data from the first file will be copied over to the fields in the pages of the second file.
