Metadata Usage as a Security Tool

I apologize if this is a silly question, but does anyone know a way to use metadata in PDFs as a security tool?

Example:  All PDFs created are updated with metadata by our company.  If the metadata on two PDFs does not match (because they are different customers), they won't merge into the same new PDF; hopefully preventing customers from getting each others information.

Is this something that exists or can another program preform this function?
