Question

Microsoft OneDrive (Open in App)

We are experiencing issues with the new feature "open in app" in OneDrive / SharePoint.
Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365
Open a OneDrive or SharePoint file in the desktop app instead of the browser - Microsoft Support
While I can use this function without any problem on my pc, it doesnt work on a Citrix Desktop instance.
This doesn´t mean it doesn´t work at all in Citrix, because we have users where it´s working fine.

The problem happens when trying to save a file back to SharePoint. Normally it´s just saved back to the original file location (via OneDrive Sync Client) when you click save. But in this case a save under popup opens in Acrobat reader.
Acrobat reader is set as default app in Windows and it opening the file in desktop app from a SharePoint Online browser window works. But saving back fails.

Any help on this?

Hi @PhilippMKiesel,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble, and the delayed response.

In case you might need a solution, you can refer to the below lockable settings to see if the values are set appropriately for accessing and detecting Sharepoint server file links.

@S. S  Thanks!
I suppose that if I don´t have any registry entries regarding SharePoint in the path
"Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown\*"
then I am fine?
Then the feature should just work, right?
