Missing letter in print PDF

Hi, anyone any ideas on why a Print ready PDF created in Indesign would have a letter missing in a paragraph? See example attached where the web address is missing the 'k' on .co.uk. It's using Arial Bold. I can't figure out why, or can't find a way to check in Acrobat Pro for any missing letter issues like this I dnt spot. I tried preflight and accessibility report, but didnt see anything. Any help or hints would be appreciated.

    I'm using Acrobat Pro to view the pdf. The fonts are properly embedded. The Arial font says embedded subset. There's no missing fonts when PDFing the document from Indesign. The copy is set direct in Indesign. I tried the fixup to embed the font, but it remained the same.
    I've had this issue before, but previously if i've copied and pasted the text from the faulty PDF in to say text edit, the missing letter was there, but on this occasion there's a space in place. I try export the PDF to plain text and the same. If i copy and paste that in to Indesign, highlight the character and look in glyphs, it is a blank character. 


    Sorted - I didn't realise it, but a colleague had opened and resaved the PDF in Acrobat after making an amend. But going back to it, your option of using PDF fixup and embedding fonts before making the amend in Acrobat stopped the missing letter error. Sorry to post a query not exactly based on the facts, but I only just found this part out!

    Are you using Acrobat or Reader to view the pdf? Are the fonts properly embedded? (all fonts should say embedded or embedded subset when you go to File> Properties> fonts) also, InDesign will usually give you a warning about missing fonts when exporting to pdf. Is the copy set in InDesign or is it from a file placed into InDesign? (PDF, .ai or .eps). If the copy is from a placed pdf, try running a preflight profile in Acrobat to embed the fonts. Tools> Print Production> Preflight> Fixups. You might be using a poor quality font (free font) and the fix would be to change the font in the original document.
