Missing text after editing PDFs

My colleagues and I are all having the same issue when editing PDFs. We move text boxes around in the edit mode and save changes. When we reopen the file, some of our text will be missing. This is usually random letters in headers or paragraphs. Usually, the text will be missing from a section that was edited but what gets removed is sporadic. Another odd note is that when we copy and paste the section with errors, it comes back just fine. Obviously, it is a tedious, manual process to now have to check all sections of our documents for this issue.

Has anyone encountered this before? Is there a known solution? Thank you!

I got the same problem.  Only worked on one single file.  Did nothing but:

- Edit PDF: applied copy, paste, and move around text boxes and images

- Organize Pages: insert blank page, rearranged pages, deleted pages

I forgot to make a duplicate copy before starting this editing that not only what I did in the past two days were gone, the original document is gone, too.  Please help!

Are you merging files, or inserting pages from other PDF files?

Hi Carolynmk,

Issue like these are mostly file specific so please share the following details about the issue,

-are you facing this issue on multiple files or just one?

-Also check and confirm the application used to produce these file.

Note: To check the PDF producer of any file Open the file > click on File option > select properties.
