Mistakes in comparing two text files

Comparing two text files (Tools – Compare Documents), the resulting change file gives (besides the actual differences) lots of wrong differences, i.e. it indicates differences that actually are not different between the files. Files come from MS Word.

This issue occurs on different platforms (older Acrobat Professional, Acrobat Pro DC, 2015).

Interestingly, the falsely indicated difference often is the letter „V“ that in one version of the documents is claimed to be minuscule while it actually did not change from upper case letter.
