Make sure you have all the serial numbers, first of all, both of the original version and of the upgraded version.

Also make sure you have the installer for Acrobat XI.

Then deactivate it on the old machine (via the Help menu).

Now you can install it on the new machine. You'll be asked to enter both serial numbers.

Once that's done it should activate itself automatically online.

Then install all available updates to it, up to 11.0.16.

Be aware, though, that Acrobat XI is outdated, and not compatible with any current OS, so problems are to be expected. If you're using a Mac it's not likely to work at all on a new machine. On a Windows machine it will likely work, but with issues. You can run it in Compatibility Mode with an earlier OS (like Windows 7) to increase the changes of it running smoothly, for the most part.

1. Find the serial number for Acrobat XI and Acrobat 9, and the install files for Acrobat XI.

2. Install on the laptop. Enter serial numers as requested

3. Check it works.

4. If you ever stop using the old PC, deactivate the license for Acrobat before you give up using the PC. Otherwise, you will find you cannot install any more times.
