Hey, I need some help before the IT gurus rename my profile and create a lot more work for me.

I had my computer reimaged by our IT people and it fixed my problems. It also created a new one I'm pretty sure is a seting somewhere.

Whe ni convert a MS Word document using the Adobe toolbar (or the word dropdown) to a .PDF flie it shows up messed up. The fonts are on top of each other, the spacing is not correct and may not even be the same font.

I went through the settings, changed some things and saved the settings under new names. Nothing changesd the documents.

 HELP, it looks like this!

Thank you.

From your sample, it looks like the font wasn't embedded into the PDF when it was exported.

Try exporting the file again, but this time drill down into the conversion settings and choose the options to embed all fonts into the PDF.

If you're using the Adobe Acrobat PDF Maker utilitly to export the PDF, instructions are here:

If you're using Microsoft's built in PDF export utility (File / Save As / PDF), the fonts are automatically embedded.

Thanks, but I had tried this before and now, again. It still is not coverting correctly. The .PDF coverter does work correctly for PowerPoint and Outlook.... just not word.

Ideas?

The attempt after changing settings.

Are you able to take a screen capture for us to see some details about your file?

If so, open the bad PDF and then select:

  1. File / Properties
  2. Description tab (the 1st one of the left) and take a screen capture,
  3. Fonts tab and take a screen capture.

Reply back to us here, using the insert picture icon in the toolbar to insert the screen captures.
