Are multiple cross sections per view supported by Acrobat and Reader?

Is it planned to support them?

I found similar issue: https://forums.adobe.com/message/4038261#4038261.

According to the reply it was not supported in Acrobat 9.

Six years passed, has anything changed?

Nothing has changed in terms of cross sections. The 3D player is basically the same as it was when Acrobat 3D was released.

Thank you. It's a pity. Looks like this technology is a dead end and will not be enhanced or improved in future. The rendering performance of complex models is also very bad, compared to any other modern 3D viewer.

Not necessarily. I don't think there's anything stopping anyone from creating an "enhanced" 3D player as a plugin to Acrobat and Reader.
