Question

Multiple digital signatures - please help clarify

Please help with this last issue so I can solve this last question and ensure the fillable forms I have created will be valid after the 2 digital signatures are applied.  Does the first signature have to be certified before the second signature is applied?   Or can they both just click and sign?

To further clarity, from what I've read is the first digital signature has to be certified by right clicking and 'certify with invisible signature' and select "Form fill-in and digital signatures", then the next signature is added.  Adobe support helped me on the phone today and said it all my settings look good, but I'm unclear as to why he asked me why would I think the first signature needs to be certified?  Both signatures just have to be signed by clicking and signing.  I'm confused 😞

Thank you so much!!

Hi Traceyc,

Thanks for reaching out. As described above, you want to have multiple digital signatures on a document, correct?

Would you mind sharing some more information for a better understanding :

  • Are you using Adobe Acrobat DC or Reader to fill and sign the document?
  • What is the workflow/steps you are doing to sign the PDF?
  • Could you please share the screenshot of the issue when it ask you for the signature certification?

The user can simply  sign the document. For more detailed information about the multiple signatures please refer to the help articles below:
