My document won't permit me to extract pages

Please help. I am working with a large file and am trying to extract several pages. When I extract this particular range of pages, I get an error message: "There was a problem reading this document (15)." I'm not sure how to fix this.

I have no trouble extracting pages elsewhere in this document; just this particular range. It's very odd.

Any insight out there?

Quick thought:

Make a duplicate of this file and extract the pages on either side of the pages you want. E.g., if you want pages 4 & 5, extract 1–3 and 6–10. What's left is what you wanted.

Yes, this is a work around, but if you want to get the job done...

Hi Sandra,

Hope you are doing well.

adding on to the expert's suggestion provided above.

Error message "There was a problem reading this document (15)" is a document specific error. You get to see this message when the document is either corrupted or damaged.

When a specific range is getting effected, then in between that range any page isn't suitable for extraction.

If you are the owner, then you may re-create the document. If it was sent by someone else, then try downloading it.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Thank you! I received the document via a long chain of contacts, so I don't have any easy way to ask creator to re-create the document. But I used the tip above by prior poster, which was helpful.

This is very  helpful and a good workaround when in a time crunch! Thanks!
