My Word 2016 doc has fill in fields. Using Acrobat DC the resulting pdf loses the data from the fields and reverts to placeholder text.

My Word 2016 doc has fill in fields and is read only. When I save as, print to, (from Word) or Convert to PDF (from File Explorer) the pdf is generated but the data from the fill in fields is gone and replaced with the placeholder text. The print preview looks correct but the process removes all the fill in data from the document - which I can undo.
