Name of InDesign PDF preset that was was used when exporting a PDF

I would like to know if there is a way to find out the name of the PDF preset that was was used when exporting a PDF from InDesign. We have many staff designers as well as many contract designers that are creating Print Ready PDFs upstream from Prepress. We have very specific settings that we need, and we want to make sure that the designers are using the correct preset before exporting PDFs (They all have the presets but not all of them are using them). We can easily find the embedded color profile in the PDF, but we would like to verify that they used the correct PDF preset as well. We are in the process of increasing automation, and we are trying to put the burden of PDF creation on the designers, but we need to be able to verify the PDFs are exported correctly.

Unfortunately, there is no direct way to determine the specific PDF preset used during export from InDesign by inspecting the resulting PDF file. The PDF itself does not store information about the preset name used during export, but it does store metadata related to settings such as compression, fonts, color profiles, and other parameters that can be compared to your required specifications.

You may use Adobe Acrobat Pro's Preflight feature to validate that the exported PDFs meet your specifications. This will allow you to create custom profiles that check against your required settings, such as color profiles, resolution, or fonts.
