Navigating via tag tree Acrobat DC

A recent update to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC seems to have affected some navigation functions for me. Specifically, I'm no longer able to navigate via the tag tree/tag navigation pane. Much of my work is re-tagging very long documents, so the ability to click on a tag and be taken to that item in the document is a huge time saver.

I was actually in the middle of working on the document, and as soon as the update finished, I lost this functionality. Is this a feature I now have to manually activate or is there a way to unintstall the update? Or does this have nothing to do with the update and I'm losing my mind? Any help is much appreciated!
