Navigation/sidebar missing

Question

I have a 100 page pdf im scrolling through on 'page per view mode'.

I can scroll up and down with my mouse gestures or use the up and down arrows in the menu bar.

BUT...i used to be able to use a sidebar slider to quickly go back or forward through the document.

Im not sure where this function is, how ive turned it off, or whether its been removed.

Apologies for my lack of knowledge on this...its driving me mad. I lierally cant figure out out get from P7 to P87 (for instance) in any swift manner.

And to anyone following this thread, the workaround for a mac user is to install the older version...which bizarly i cant find in the CC app, but luckily someone else had posted a link to it.

Acrobat is indeed annoyingly different to other Creative Cloud applications in this sense. Acrobat does not update through the Creative Cloud desktop tool. Finding an old version is not easy. If you have an Enterprise or Teams subscription, you may be able to create install files for that previous version.

Don't forget to switch off the auto-update.

What is your exact version of Acrobat and what is your OS? It looks like this is a "design feature" of the new Acrobat. You can search the forum for multiple entries for this.
