Question

Need fillable form to open in read-only, be fillable but not saveable.

Hopefully that subject line makes sense, I am working in Adobe Acrobat DC. My form is ready to go. But whenever I go in to test filling out the document, it allows me to save the data I've entered without entering the document password or needing to "save as". Before I share the form with my colleagues, I need the original document to stay fillable, but blank after closing (privacy issues for our clients). I have scoured the web and tried everything I've found but I'm still stuck. Ideas on the issue and the fix?

Unless the file is located on a read-only network folder, and is itself set as read-only, you can't do it.

The closest you can get is to add a script to it that resest it before it is saved, and/or when it is opened.

This is a pretty bad idea, though, as users expect a file to save the data they enter into it...
