NEED HELP! How to allow user to SAVE AS and using Spawn document feature

I'm currently using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

I created a fillin form with a button that run JavaScript to spawn page 2 (which is hidden). The spawning feature works great. The issue that I'm having is that is that after following Save AS other to enable reader user to save information the button that triggers the spawn document does not work.

I do....

File>Save As Other>Reader Extended PDF

Enable More Tool (Includes firm fill-In & Save)...

I need User to Save AS, use the option spawn document feature if they choose.

You don't need to be an expert to understand that you should not use: Save as : Reader Extended PDF because it is an old feature that has become useless and because it is what prevents spawning.

You all are very experts in Adobe Acrobat. Based on all the information I have typed here. I would like a reply that is for a new user. I'm not a pro.

Do not save your pdf with extened rights. The user will be able to save the PDF from Reader, and the spawn feature will work.

You cannot spawn pages in a PDF saved as "Reader Extended PDF". This is by design.

But, as try67 said, "Reader Extended PDF" is an old feature which is no longer required for version XI* and DC** of Acrobat Reader.

You do not need to use this option if the file is going to be used in Reader DC.

well then maybe it's something else. I want the user to do a save as a pdf and lock text that they typed in fillin fields and not allow them to continue filling into document after already saving as?

I don't understand... Why would you want them to not be able to edit what they entered?
