Need Help lost wording in fillable form after hitting esc

I had filled in a box in a fillable form using acrobat DC accidently hit esc and lost everything that i had not saved. Tried undo and that did not work. I have not saved the document and am looking for help before i do anything else.

If you never exited the field before pressing Esc then the information you entered is gone, as pressing Esc rejects the current value and reverts to the field's previous value. Sorry, but you need to re-type it.
