Need help signing out a session from a computer that was recently upgraded

Have a permanent license for Adobe Pro 2020, had a HW failure recently and upgraded my PC, I retained the HDD for the new MB and CPU. Running Acorbat Pro i get the error that the serial number is in use and I need to sign out of one of them. this is physically impossible since the old HW is dead (same HDD in use though).

Support is useless, the virtual assistnce keeps circling and never giving an option to open a ticket etc even though the website says it's covered under support options.

Any thoughts, suggestions or alternate ways I can get support from Adobe on this?

Cheers

I am having nearly the same issue. I purchased DC Pro 2015 Student and need to deactivate two computers I no longer have access to due to receiving two new computers and giving up the old ones. HELP! When I log into my account, my product and invoice are there but it says no devices are activated, yet when trying to install it on a new machine, it says I've used all the licenses. Maddening. The Adobe website is useless.

Noel, you will need to deactivate directly on one of the previous computers if you want to use Acrobat DC 2015 on the new computer. Please see https://adobe.ly/3YJnIEB for instructions on how to complete the deactivation process.

Please see my previous responses to Wade, about why you need to deactivate one of the previous licenses directly on the computer. If that is not possible, then you will also need to find a new solution for your PDF needs for the new computer. ^JW

Wade, thanks for posting about your problems managing your activations for Acrobat Pro 2020 in 2026. You will need to deactivate the software on a previous computer to free up an activation for your new computer. The old computer will also need to be up to date enough to contact our servers. For more information see https://adobe.ly/49XN7AI. ^JW

Hi there, not sure if you read the post, but the computer is dead. I used the same hard drive in the new computer, there is no physical way to load it back up as it used to be and sign out. Thats the problem I am having.

Any thoughts on how to deal with this situation?

I did read your post, Wade, if the computer is dead, then you will need to find a new solution for your PDF needs. There are no other solutions to regain an activation other than deactivating a previous installation in 2026. ^JW
