Need help with gray shadow after flattening a pdf

Hi! I am having a problem with a gray shadow showing up behind clip art when I flatten a pdf. If it is on a white background it looks fine. But if I use a colored background there is a gray shadow behind all my clipart. Can anybody help me figure this out? Thanks!
