New PDF preview is not displaying vector well, even at print quality settings

Why is the new Acrobat update not clearly displaying vector artwork in PDF format? It's jagged even from afar, close-up, and even at the print quality setting. It's embarrassing to send to a client. Some design has intricate angles and it looks jagged.

I can't find the person who posted about the preface settings, but they were correct. The smooth line box was unchecked. Thanks for your help. It's much appreciated.

Are you sure that the document is a vector file and not a pixel file?

If it is a vector file, get the zoom to the maximum and select a vector (I've selected here the character 4), it should not look jagged.

If it looks jagged, it may have been created as such.

As you can see by my sample here (high res printer setting), my view is different. I'm thinking it has to do with me having a 2015 Mac Pro. I had to downgrade to a lower Photoshop. I think Adobe is stopping support for my computer and forcing me to buy a new one.

Hi @lesleyw61295645

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.08.20555 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Let us know how it goes.

I have that version. The issue is with all Illustrator previews for angles/curves, even close-up.

I almost think I should go back to an older version. I have a 2015 Mac Pro and had to do the same with the Photoshop upgrade. Maybe Adobe stopped supporting 2015 computers. If so, that's challenging for me. I don't have the funds to buy a new mac right now.
