New S22 won't open pdf

I got a new S22 Samsung phone and I'm not able to open pdfs that others send to me

Yes. When I click on a pdf attachment, it will open in a printer app to download as a pdf and then I need to go to the file and open it. I don't want to download- just open it

You can't open until you download.  If it's not physically on your device, there's nothing to open.
