New Subscription for Acrobat Pro DC - How to activate???

I started with a free trial to Acrobat Pro DC and have just purchased a full year subscription, but I can't convert the trial to the licensed version and the help pages are completely useless. How do I get my product to work?????? When I open the product from my desktop, it asks if I want to license the product and I am then prompted to enter a serial number. There is nothing included in my invoice, and when I go to the products page on my Adobe account it just says that I will be able to "manage this plan shortly" however it has been over 30 minutes so I purchased. What is causing the delay and how do I get the information that I need????

install the cc desktop app from here, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud .  after signing in to the desktop app, you may not need to do anything else.

but if you still have a problem after installing it:

check your account to verify your subscription is what you expect and to verify your adobe id (used in the next step), https://www.adobe.com/account.html

if your account shows

a. your subscription is active,

1.  sign out and then back in to your cc desktop application using the same adobe id above to verify your subscription:  http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/sign-in-out-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

2.  if that fails, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-reverts-to-trial.html

if your account shows

b. you have no subscription and you're paying for one

1. using a browser that allows popups and cookies,  contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/service-ccm.html

I think the problem has to do with the fact that I already have the product installed on my computer, so when I try installing the desktop app, I get an error message that just advises me to go to the support forum.

Is there a way for me to link the existing adobe pro software to my account?

you could open acrobat > click help > sign in or activate.

if you can't do that, uninstall acrobat and install the cc desktop app and use it to install your acrobat.
