Newest update is Garbage

The entire new update is garbage. Reverting to the old interface doesn't change this. Editing documents has become a total nightmare. The program tries to take control and compensate during editing and starts predictively shifting the layout of the document, creating headers and footers, etc. It moves the body on its own and doesn't allow me to move the body where I want it to go.

...

The update is a trainwreck.

Hi @Allen@WCE,

Hope you are doing well.

From the description, it seems like you have the Snap to Grid and Guides enabled. Would you mind trying the below steps:

  1. Go to View > Show/Hide > Rulers. This will give you a better visual reference for placing fields.
  2. Go to View > Grid and Guides and ensure Snap to Grid and Snap to Guides are both unchecked.
  3. Now, you can move objects freely, but with the aid of the ruler for precision.

If you hold Shift while pressing the arrow keys, the field will move in larger increments, allowing for more precise placement.

Also, from Preferences-> Accessibility-> uncheck the option "Enable assistive Technology Support."
